3 Reasons Why You Should Build a SquareSpace Website

Your website is probably one of the most important things your business can have. A website not only tells the world about your business but it's truly a reflection of you and your services. A polished, well put together website says, "Hey, I'm a professional and I will treat your business like a professional." A website with a haphazard, disconnected look doesn't convey quite the message you'd like, right?

But there's a lot that goes into creating a website - choosing and buying a domain, selecting a host, finding and personalizing the right template. And you haven't even created content! Are you overwhelmed yet?

Running a business is stressful enough. Creating your Internet real estate shouldn't be. Enter the answer to my prayers - SquareSpace.

So, why do I choose SquareSpace time and time again over those other guys? Here are my three reasons:

  • Ease of Use - My website was originally on Wix, but I knew that wouldn't be its permanent home. I heard others talking about SquareSpace, so I decided to check it out. After playing around for just a few hours, I already had a beautiful website. Not that my site on Wix wasn't beautiful - but this one spoke to me more.
  • Cost - SquareSpace hosts your website for you, so the monthly cost encompasses both hosting and your theme. I didn't have to connect anything except for my domain. Simple and sweet! The cost can run between $12 per month (if paid annually) to $26 per month. Not a bad price for hosting and the theme.
  • No Coding Necessary - When I built my website, I had no coding knowledge so the fact that I didn't need to know any for SquareSpace was super helpful. I now have coding knowledge, which has only helped me manipulate pages even further.

I had to make some changes to one of my client's website - it took a little bit of coding knowledge to remove the header and footer.  With SquareSpace, it was easy peasy - the code was nothing more than a few lines. Gotta love time savers, right?

If you're a DIY'er, you'll love SquareSpace because of its drag and drop function. And if you get stuck, their customer service is phenomenal.

So, those are my reasons why I use SquareSpace for my website as well as for clients.
