A website is the new “storefront” for your online business. As first impressions go, when someone stops by your website, you want to make a lasting one. A great way to impress a potential customer is through graphic images. Listed below are the top 3 images that you need on your website today.
A logo serves as the face of your business and is a very important part of your overall marketing strategy. It helps others recognize you on social media platforms, websites, and even offline marketing platforms like business cards and brochures. Think about other famous logos. When you see “golden arches” you know exactly which fast-food restaurant that logo represents (Big Mac & Fries anyone?!?).
A logo serves as your identity both online and offline. It has the ability to clearly display your brand, which is your business’s personality. It’s a quick and simple way to expose your business anywhere and everywhere.
Images of your Products or Services
No matter what kind of business you run, it’s imperative to display images showcasing your products or services. Images and pictures speak so much louder than words.
If you have a product-based business, it goes without saying that images on your website are crucial to your success. If you’re a food blogger, your audience wants to see the food you write about. If you sell clothing, no one is going to purchase those clothes without seeing them first, either simply the piece of clothing or modeled on a person.
This goes for service-based businesses too. Someone would rather see the results of what you do than read about it. For instance, I run a service-based business but still display images of what I do for my clients. I can showcase the finished product of a website I have designed, or a logo I have created.
Social Media Graphics
When someone visits your website you want them sharing your business on social media. This is basically free advertising for your business! You can make it easy for them to share by providing images specifically designed for social media. Don’t fret. This is not as difficult as it may sound.
My favorite online platform for creating these images is Canva. Canva includes free templates you can use to create your images. Say you create and sell your own jewelry. The optimal place to showcase this product is on Pinterest. Canva has templates specifically sized and optimized for Pinterest. You can even upload pictures of your jewelry to include on these Canva templates.
Although there are many other images and graphics you can use on your website, the three mentioned above are a great starting point to building your brand and expanding your business.
